Optimism

I believe there are some people who don’t like to listen to deep, thought-inducing music or have complex, intellectual conversations, and instead listen to brainless party music or have superficial conversations about a funny story that happened while they were drunk, is because they are scared that if they begin to think insightful thoughts they will see how truly small and insignificant they are. But then there are some people who do things that compel their mind into thinking philosophically but instead of seeing how trivial their life is, they see how much they can do with what triviality they posses. That is the true definition of optimism. Which makes you ponder if all of these party-addicted, fun-loving people are truly optimistic and happy, or are just hiding from the undeniable truth.
